• DESCRIPTION: A good example of Laurie & Whittle's map of Canada and the Northeastern United States. This map shows from Hudson and James Bays,Newfoundland and the Grand Banks, southward to the Delaware Bay and upper Chesapeake. Includes much of Pennsylvania and Lake Ontario. This map was first issued by Sayer & Bennett and appeared in the American Military Pocket Atlas of 1776. Vermont is shown as a strawberry shaped state with its southern border on the Quechee River.
